Why Industrial Communications?
Because the ability to communicate different systems (physical devices or software systems) is a must within an industrial environment, so they are able to interchange the necessary information so each systems performs as it has, and in the most efficient way. We work on two parts or levels in industrial communication:
Communications between physical devices at the plant through fieldbuses. This is communication between a PLC and the machines that must be controlled by that PLC.
Communications between physical devices at the plant and higher-level systems (computers). It’s about sharing the information at the plant (from PLCs or equipment) with computers.
